David Frost has taken a job with Al Jazeera International. The New York Times has an interview with him on the subject. I’m not sure what’s worse, Frost’s weasely answers or the American chauvinism of the interviewer.

Now that it’s certain that the man Dick Cheney mistook for a partridge is going to recover it’s time to begin with the laywer jokes, the huter jokes, the Dick Cheney tough guy jokes, and other tasteless jokes ad nauseum. I’m predicting a major meme.

Is Gretzky the next Pete Rose?

A major scandal is emerging in the NHL, with a well regarded ex-player accused of financing an illegal gambling operation. More seriously, the scandal is spreading and could eventually involve Wayne Gretzky, the game’s greatest player and one of the most highly regarded professional athletes in the world. Melancholy Muslim Danes: A clash of symbols

SPIEGEL ONLINE reports on the reaction of Danish Muslims to a series of newspaper cartoons which used satirical images of Muhammad. Protests have spread to other countries and have included the burning of the Danish flag. Danes are outraged at this show of disrespect for a national symbol, even as they defend the cartoons in the name of free speech. Huh?
