Management fads are a danger

Simon Caulkin in the Guardian has a good article about management fads and the dangers they pose. Remember quality circles? mbo? kpi? They didn't change anything, but they made a lot of work for "visionary" mangers. His recommendation: read "Hard Facts, Dangerous Half-Truths And Total Nonsense: Profiting From Evidence-Based Management" (Jeffrey Pfeffer, Robert I. Sutton) as an antidote.
